Dear EARCOS Conference Delegates:
The East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools is excited to invite you and your administrative staff as delegates at the annual EARCOS Administrators’ Conference (EAC2006) in Bangkok, Thailand, scheduled for November 4 through 7, 2006. This year’s conference theme is,“Shared Vision Through Collaboration, Technology and Global Awareness”. We have a host of excellent keynote speakers and workshop presenters. Our keynoters are: Ian Jukes, Jean-Francois Rischard and Michai Viravaidya. We also have a Mid-day Symposium presenters to include Richard van de Lagemaat and lunch panel discussion with Clayton Lewis and Global Issues Network (GIN) students and Teresa Arpin will lead the World Cafe to unvailed the Strategic Plan.
PLEASE SEE INSIDE FOR A LIST OF SPEAKERS AND THEIR PRESENTATION TOPICS ALONG WITH TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS. THIS WILL BE UPDATED WEEKLY TO MAINTAIN THE MOST CURRENT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRESENTATIONS. PLEASE USE THE MENU BAR ABOVE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE CONFERENCE AND BANGKOK.
The Conference Registration Form will be posted on our web site www.earcos.org. To simplify the registration process, the Registration Form should be completed and sent back electronically to the EARCOS office(Email EAC2006@earcos.org). You may register all delegates on this single Registration Form. Please send your payment by check or bank transfer directly to ISS (instructions at the bottom of your invoice-last tab on Reg Form). The Registration form and payment are due September 20, 2006. Please do NOT fax the registration form, send it to the email address above.. The regular conference registration fee is the same as for the 2005 conference—US$360.00 per person. Once again, if we RECEIVE your payment by September 6, 2006, you will be entitled to pay the “early bird” registration fee of $340.00 per delegate. Registration fees received after September 20, 2006, will be $380.00 per delegate. Spouses of delegates are welcome to register for a fee of $175.00. Spouses are invited to all social activities (coffee breaks, receptions, dinners) and all conference sessions. Unfortunately, this does not include the pre-conferences or the Job-a-like sessions. Please note the refund and exchange policies in the registration form.
On line hotel reservations at Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok for 2006 EARCOS Administrators’ Conference is already available, please click here http://www.shangri-la.com/reservations/booking/en/index.aspx?hid=SLBK&group_code=GCA01116. You will have a confirmed reservation upon your receipt of on line confirmation from the hotel. Please contact them if you do not receive such confirmation. The Shangri-La Hotel will hold our room allotment until September 1st. We have reserved 375 rooms, all that are available for the moment. Last year, we used 425 rooms so please reserve early. There is an alternate hotel one block away that is brand new and we have another 50 rooms to complete our compliment what believe will be our demand for rooms for the delegates.
