Guidelines for Idea Exchange Facilitators
ETC 2006
March 30 - April 1
Manila, Philippines

1. Each potential idea exchange facilitator should complete an Idea Exchange Proposal Form and submit it to his/her ETC teacher rep for comments and signature by the rep and an administrator. Incomplete proposal forms cannot be considered. Applicants should choose a topic, subject area, or grade level that lends itself to the idea exchange format.

Deadline to EARCOS: November 17, 2005.

2. Applicants should include a short (50 words or fewer), concise description of the idea or ideas to be discussed, the group of conference delegates that he/she would expect to attend the session, any materials that the idea exchange leader would like participants to bring along for the exchange, and his /her email address.

3. The idea exchange leader should be prepared to act as facilitator, encourage participation by delegates, be receptive to ideas, and organize the discussion so that no one person monopolizes the meeting. The session should be designed as an open exchange among participants, NOT as a workshop presentation.

4. No AV equipment can be provided for idea exchange facilitators, although you are welcome to bring your own.
