The ICMEC Global Educator Centre for Excellence and the International Task Force on Child Protection have joined forces to provide resources on how to prevent and respond to child abuse, neglect and sexual exploitation to ensure no child stands alone.

These are worrisome days for all of us. Disruption, anxiety, unexpected and unwelcome change hover above on a seemingly daily basis. Over the past several months more and more of our region’s schools have closed their doors and turned to distance education to help them support their students’ learning.

Constance Wall Buford, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico surrounded in love and a room full of flowers as beautiful and vivacious as her enduring spirit.

She died of complications related to Leukemia. For five years she also lived with Alzheimer’s. These illnesses affected her body and mind, but did not dampen her incredibly positive spirit and infectious optimism which she radiated, spread to others, and for which she will always be remembered.

ISC Research has launched a new report of research into how the wellbeing of students and staff at international schools has been affected by COVID-19. Over 600 international school teachers and leaders in 109 countries were surveyed in December 2020 when the pandemic was impacting most of the world. ISC Research collaborated with International Education Psychology Services on the research and the report.

In most global cities, parents now have extensive education choice including a range of international schools. Why parents select an international school in preference to the other options available to them, some of which are state funded, is the discussion of a new white paper published by ISC Research.
